Poughill Church
- Services and Regular Events:
We are an evangelical Anglican church in the village of Poughill on the edge of Bude, North Cornwall. As well as worshipping in Church, we meet together in smaller groups for social occasions, in youth and children's groups, and for prayer and Bible study. We try to support each other in our faith and in our day to day lives. We don’t have all the answers but we are on a journey of discovery - growing to know God and what it means to follow Jesus Christ in the 21st century. Do join us - we love meeting new people, so visitors are especially welcome.

Regular Events for Children and Young People

Sundays at 10.30 am - Sunday Club for all children in the Church Hall. Apart from the first Sunday in the month we start together with the adults in the church, and go across the road during the service.
On communion Sundays, we start in the Church Hall and join the congregation for the latter part of the service.

Sundays at 7 pm - Crusaders for young people who are 11 and over. This is our youth group, and we meet for games, walks, discussion, team activities, and generally chilling out before the next school week begins. We meet in different places on different weeks for an hour and a half. If you are interested, then find out where the next meeting is by phoning Jackie on 01288353842.

Fridays at 6 pm - SOCKS (which stands for St Olaf's Children's Klub). This is an evening meeting for all children. For just one hour in the Church Hall we meet for games, Bible stories, refreshments and craft activities. Find out more from Jackie on 01288353842.

Regular Food Events
Every other Thursday at 1 pm - CAMEO (which stands for Come And Meet Each Other). This is an event for anyone who would like to eat and spend an afternoon with company. At 1 o'clock we eat a hot two-course meal (which costs £3.50), and during the afternoon we listen to a speaker, or have a quiz, or some other home-grown entertainment. Before going home we enjoy cake and another cup of tea together. We do our very best to cater for special diets, and if you are interested and would like to know when the next meeting is, then please telephone Gill on 01288 354579 or Jackie on 01288 353842.
